Pick the one closest to what you are seeing. If you are not sure which it is, describe the symptom on the form and we connect you with a local plumber who can sort it out.

The five kinds of plumbing work
Emergency plumbing covers the problems that cannot wait: a burst supply line after a freeze, a water heater dumping across the garage floor, a sewer backup coming up through a basement drain. The first step is always stopping the water at the main shutoff; the second is a plumber with a clear plan for the real repair.
Drain cleaning and sewer line repair is the work behind slow tubs, gurgling toilets and the cleanout that overflows in the yard. Older laterals in this city are often cast iron or clay, and roots find every joint.
Water heater repair and installation covers tank and tankless units, gas and electric, from a failed thermostat or burner to a full swap when the tank itself is rusting through.
Leak detection is for the water bill that keeps climbing, the warm spot on a slab floor or the stain spreading across a ceiling. If you want to know what a slab leak search involves, that page goes step by step.
Toilets, fixtures and gas lines rounds it out: running and rocking toilets, faucets, shutoff valves, garbage disposals, and gas piping to ranges, dryers and water heaters.
How plumbing jobs are usually priced
Flat-rate menus rarely fit, because two houses with the same symptom seldom need the same fix. A slow kitchen drain in a 1990s Hoover build is usually grease in a PVC line; the same complaint in a 1930s Avondale bungalow can be a sagging cast iron run under the floor. Whoever you hire, one simple rule holds. Ask for the price in writing, based on the actual repair from a single fixture to a full line replacement, before any work starts. It is also fair to ask how a change in scope will be handled if a wall or floor has to be opened, and whether a permit and inspection are included.
